Noise Contour Maps

Noise mapping can determine exposure of environmental noise emissions from specific sources including large urban areas, major transport sources, or significant industrial sites.

Noise contour maps are used to visually represent noise from specific sources such as road, rail, air traffic or industry. This provides information on environmental noise and its effects on the public.

We map the noise to determine the impact of such noise on individuals, and produce noise action plans to comply with legislation and meet the requirements of environmental noise regulations.

Based upon noise mapping results, the action plans can be designed to manage noise issues and effects, including noise reduction if necessary.
